Teaching
Having gained a formal qualification in teaching (PGCHE) in 2008, wherever possible I like to use examples of my own and my colleagues research to inform my teaching.
Taught courses
I am the Convenor and sole lecturer of the 3rd year module Conservation Genetics, C43541, and am due to convene Evolutionary Biology of Animals in 2017/18. I also assist in teaching Population Genetics, C43540 and Molecular Evolution, C13698, respectively. In addition, I teach C12HBS Higher Skills in the Biological Sciences, as well as hosting final year and MSci project students.
Material for Computer Practical in Population Genetics (C43540)
If you are a student on the course Population Genetics, C43540, then the following material is necessary for the lab class. Otherwise, it is not at all useful!

The Evanno et al (2005) paper - useful discussion and ideas on how to best infer the number of populations, K.
